Joo Chiat A Heritage Town

Congratulations to Joo Chiat for  becoming Singapore's first Heritage Town. The National Heritage Board is funding the area's plan to showcase more of its legacy. Thanks to Miss Sandra Helen Vatsaloo and her team's hard work and impressive submission that won the award. Three cheers to Joo Chiat!

Hello Mr Chew,

I am a Singaporean student and have decided to use Joo Chiat Road as my research topic. Would you be so kind as to help me answer a few questions?

If possible, could you reply with your email address? That way I can email you the questions.

Thank you so much. I think Joo Chiat's a really unique place to research on! (:

Hi Philip,

I enjoyed myself reading through your blog entries on the old Joo Chiat.

I used to live in Joo Chiat when I was younger. My grandfather and father were carpenters and they had a shop along Joo Chiat Road.

Recently rode down Joo Chiat Road on my bicycle, here is my account of the ride.

Really nice blog you have. Keep it going! =)
